Illusions Color Spa is now offering microblading, the semi-permanent makeup treatment for natural looking brows. You can say goodbye to penciling, dusting and drawing in your brows. And say hello to waking up with perfectly shaped and shaded brows. The pigment is applied with a specific Phibrows tool that has a row of several fine needles to create thin hair like marks in the skin. A very natural result is achieved, as the hairs are bladed into the skin according to the natural hair growth direction.
Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation that utilizes a specialized instrument designed to scrape away accumulated dead skin cells and vellous hair. It is a comfortable, relaxing procedure that can be combined with other services like to improve their efficacy. Dermaplaning is ideal for women of all skin types and colors in their 30's and beyond who are interested in improving the health and appearance of their skin.
Because of an influx of last-minute cancellations and no-show appointments, Illusions Color Spa has implemented a new No Show/Cancellation Policy effective immediately. We respectfully request at least a 24-hour notice to reschedule or cancel your appointments. Please remember when you no-show or cancel your appointment without giving a 24-hour notice, your service provider loses the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services.

I needed a new stylist so I googled "best hair salons in St. Louis" and found Illusions. I looked through their Instagram pictures and Audrey's work really stood out to me so I booked with her. She listened, took her time, and used her creative judgment when needed and I couldn't be happier with the results! I'll be back to see Audrey.

I got hair extensions here in June of this summer. I loved the way they looked and still have them currently in but being serviced in a different city because I had to move. The staff was nice for the most part. My stylist was always very sweet to me. The only thing that started to bother me when returning is that I felt obligated to buy new products every time I was in.
They would walk the products straight to the counter without asking if you wanted to purchase, making me feel like I had to and making it uncomfortable to say no. It just felt very pushy and they were very expensive products on top of already spending close to $2,000 on my tape in installation with a color. I'm almost positive I left with a new product every appointment. Speaking of extensions, my new hairstylist seemed a little weary of the tape ins I had.
She said she had never heard of the brand and that the tape used for all other extensions such as Donna Bella was different. The tape needed for these extensions are much longer than normal. Now, I haven't had a problem with them necessarily but it makes me wonder about the quality. I have had quite a lot of breakage at the ends but I do use heat on my hair regularly. Not that I wouldn't necessarily recommend this salon, just something to note!

The most professional and perfect haircut I have ever gotten. Stephanie is professionally trained and gave me a celebrity quality cut that I am so impressed with. I won't be going to anyone else to cut my hard-to-manage crazy short hair. My hair is usually messy frizzy and complicated but she gave me the boss babe haircut I needed to transform my look. I have found my muse!

I came in for hair and makeup for my engagement photos. I showed Alex my outfit and let her do what she wanted with my hair and makeup. It turned out absolutely beautiful! My hair held up well even though it had just finished raining a couple hours before. I highly recommend Alex and Illusions Color Spa for your special occasion hair and makeup!

A great experience. Maggie was awesome. She corrected my wonky, brassy highlights and base brunette color beautifully. Especially refreshing was they told me what my services would cost before starting and in over 35 years of various St. Louis salons, I've never had one do that. I was stunned at the results. My brunette hair does not 'come up' easily to cool, beigey highlights, but Maggie made it happen. I loved the vibe of the salon as well. Nice, elegant, but not stuffy and really nice staff. I am so glad to have found Maggie at Illusions Color Spa!
