Altima Tan and Massage, located at 2891 East Waterloo Road in Akron, became a reality after salon owner Tim Freeman had a negative experience with tanning back in 2007. Freeman said he was going on a cruise and was encouraged to visit a local tanning salon beforehand, where he bought a one-month tanning package.
Tanning lamps have a relatively long life span and a tanning lamp will seldom die out completely. However, as time goes by, it will take longer and longer to get their job done. Therefore, it's vitally important to us to monitor the useful life of our lamps to ensure that you never tan in one of our beds with cold, old lamps.

Initially wanted to go to Altima but was hesistant with their prices. So I went to a small shop near Altima that was a quarter of the price. However, I ended up having a severe allergic reaction to their beds (or their cleaner) & got an infection in my eye from dirty goggles. Yuck all around! So I decided enough was enough and came to Altima feeling uneasy about their prices but honestly.it's SO worth the higher prices!
They're the cleanest salon I've ever been to and I've achieved a really beautiful color in less than a month. The rooms are always spotless, the girls working are always pleasant and friendly and the beds are phenomenal. I signed up for a monthly membership after a week and am thankful for such a nice salon so close to home!

Had a spray on tan and it looked nice. It's a 4, not a 5 star because of all the additional items they want to sell you. There's the original $25 but then there's "do you want the tan to last?" - additional ingredient for a couple bucks. "Do you want it to look nice?" - additional bronzer cause, yes, I'd like it to last and yes, I'd like it to look good. So, hidden costs and a bait and switch type transaction.

The best place to achieve a tan! The cleanest salon I've ever been to! They have different level beds and they also offer spray tanning and body wraps. The staff is always polite and friendly. They have a vast variety of the best lotions and brands, and if you are a member you save more on tanning and supplies. Lot parking with plenty of space, safe area and well lit at night.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism Everyone there are really friendly. The salon is always very clean. The owner and wife are very nice. I have tan there since the salon has been open. I also love the body wraps. You feel rejuvenated and energized. Never tan anywhere else as long as Altima tan is open. Service: Tanning

I have been a customer of Altima Tan for years! Their staff are always friendly and very helpful. I enjoying the relaxing experience of using their tanning beds and have also had Mystic spray tans in the past. Both services are great. The beds are always very clean each time I'm there. I plan on being a customer of theirs for many years to come. What a great local business!

Super clean and the best in the area by far! I tried a smaller place on canton rd. and no way! Although very nice still it made me search for another tanning spot and thank goodness I did. Altima Tan has a great staff and if I remember her name ill share it on here but the girl who helped me talked with me for over 45 minutes answering all my questions and showing me around, SOLD!
I even brought my daughter here and she loves it too! Great beds also they are roomy and they have a nice selection to choose from for each package you choose. And they have a drawing that you enter into for vacations and such. And half off tans each monday for monthly packages and TWICE a month for members, LOVE IT!
