A small fortune for literal GARBAGE, my hair was destroyed TWICE. Don't waste your money

I had the best experience today with Char! She was so sweet and made me feel so pampered. She's an excellent communicator and cut my hair exactly how I wanted it! Definitely going back!

My first stylist at this place was Becky from AK. I went to her with burnt yellow hair and left feeling like a rockstar. She did a great job coloring and styling. She left this location and my stylist since then has been Teddy. If I want partial highlights or all over color Teddy listens to me and gives good suggestions for what will actually work with my hair.

She has a long personal history with working with hair and she's got a fun personality that makes sitting in the chair for hours more fun. The only downside is that booking my appointments with Canyon River has been a challenge. Somehow they usually have me written down for a different time than I had written down, or if they don't schedule my next appointment right away it can take as long as 2-3 months to get back in. My greys hate that. Other than that, I can't say enough good for Canyon River and their staff.

I am new to this area and have been on the hunt for a stylist Since I have been here and let me tell you LOVE this salon and I Absolutely loved my stylist Charmaine, She went out of her way to make sure that I was happy with the way that my hair came out, which I absolutely love. She was very professional, thorough upbeat and genuinely loves her job. I cannot wait to go back in and get pampered. I defiantly found my "New Girl" in Bozeman

If you have curly hair NEVER use this salon! I haven't had a haircut since 2020. I had long naturally curly hair almost down to my waist. I LOVED my hair! I asked the hairdresser to cut my hair no shorter than the bottom of my shoulder blades, I explained how my hair behaved and that I didn't want to come out looking like a chia pet, I explained I only wanted angled layers that framed my face because I have a round face, I said I wanted to be able to wear my hair curly and straight and brought detailed pictures of what I wanted my cut to look like.

What I got: the first cut caused my mom to gasp.the lady cut my hair to my shoulder, she made blunt, choppy layers all over my head, the more she cut the more it frizzed up. She didn't follow the pictures at all. The cut is uneven.to make it worse - she kept saying how she didn't like cutting hair and wasn't any good at cutting curly hair. My hair is so butchered that I'll have to keep it in a bun (which there is barely enough hair left to do.) for the next 6-8months why it grows out. I got in the car and cried! I could have cut my hair myself with dull scissors and a hand mirror and gotten a better cut. Worst experience EVER

Worth every penny. When you spend over $100 in services you receive access to the basic spa area (the sauna, wave room, jacuzzi, etc). absolutely worth it. I received a Thai massage from Danny (who was outstanding!). My sister and bestie got regular massages with salt scrubs. We all got pedicures. Because the spa services were so fantastic the next day I went back for acrylics and my sister got a manicure. All the staff were simply great and the salon staff was talented.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value I saw Teddy on 9/14/21 and she ROCKED my haircut. My hair was down to my waist. I also have super thick hair. So, I wanted my hair to a little past my shoulders and have it thinned a ton. It turned out so beautiful. It now takes 2 minutes and 1 try to style my hair! It is, for sure, worth the price you pay. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality This spa was amazing! My husband and I got a couples massage with Jess and Natalie and they were both fantastic. After our massages we enjoyed the sauna and steam room. It was a lovely experience and we will definitely be making this a routine place we go.

Went in to for highlights, to fix my roots and go a bit more gingery blonde. As you can see by my pictures, I went in already pretty light. I'm naturally strawberry blonde. The last two photos are how I came out. She made me DARK BROWN. Now, I tried my best to give her the benefit of the doubt but in all honesty, WORST EXPERIENCE IN A HAIR SALON IN MY LIFE. The stylists name was Ray. Please save your hair and do not go to her. It's taken me almost a YEAR to recover from this. It was traumatic and awful.

Wonderful quaint salon! Staff was very accommodating, nice, and informative. Very nice dressing rooms with secure storage compartments, closed restroom, and steam room. Loved the complimentary coffee and pedicure scrub while we waited by the fireplace for our massage. Purchased a couples massage and was very relaxing. Highly recommend!
