Ummelina opened in 1986 when our founder, Nina Ummelina, opened the first day spa in Seattle on Sixth Avenue. Ten years later we moved to a new location on Fourth Avenue which allowed us to expand to four times our original size. In 2007, Ummelina opened a second location in the peaceful Yakima Valley, Washington State's Wine Country.

Great experience! First time there and honestly didn't realize that we drive past the place almost daily and did not know it was there. They have a beautiful facility that is so spacious and relaxing inside that you forget you are in the middle of downtown Yakima. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a foot soak/leg scrub, time in the tub/shower, and then a massage. Lucy was amazing and not sure what the name of the other massage therapist was, but she was also great. We definitely enjoyed our time there and it was a relaxing spa day for our Valentine's Day weekend.

Great experience. Loved the shower room. An absolutely incredible faciility that literally took my stress and anxiety away. " I'm shocked that these words are actually coming out of my mouth, but, I thoroughly enjoyed the spa today". Lol. Everyone loves it, including my daughters. ATTN: Gentlemen, don't be too manly for Paradise. It was the absolute ish.

Unethical business. Closed their Seattle location and refused to honor gift cards other than driving 2+ hours to their Yakima location (a COVID-19 got spot). I offered a compromise, part refund and part store credit and the manager said no, since it was store policy, but that they were more than happy to have me use $400 on their beauty products instead. Highly do not recommend.

Love Ummelina I'm Yakima! I've had a massage and have gone twice for pedicures! The massage experience was amazing and worth the price. I've been seeking a pedicurist and I have never felt 100% satisfied until now. I will only get me pedicure services at Ummelina. They have an amazing friendly staff and the ambiance is warm, welcoming and most definitely relaxing.

I was seen Sunday 1/26/2020 for a facial and brow tint. This spa is a sanctuary from the busy city, it was calming and serene. I was seen by Monique, one of the Aestheticians. She was so sweet and accommodating, checking in with me often. I was impressed with her knowledge of the products she used and explained why she chose them for me and how they benefitted my skin.
I have gotten several compliments on my skin this week, one person was even surprised I have a child old enough to be in College (I'm 53). I can't wait to go back to the Ummelina spa for more pampering!

Luxury spa treatments at prices few can really afford. Is it worth it? Absolutely! Their special jungle showers and tasty herbal tea blends alone are worth the exorbitant price of admission. And the staff that rubs out years worth of pain will make you feel like perhaps existence is more than anger and suffering. You'll come out of the experience feeling a little less jaded and softer to the world. Enjoy it before life beats you back down again!
