Robert Leonard Salon & Day Spa

Well I've been going to many salons and haven't been able to find my fav since my old stylist moved to Colorado until I discover Robert Leonard. Their prices and service are awesome. My go to person have been Larisa. She always make sure my hair length is perfect and doesn't try to up sale me on products. She is simply wonderful. Also this salon offers waxing. The prices are very competitive and Halina does a very sterile job which I appreciate.

Although I love my hair, the pricing was absurd. I've been going here off and on for a few years and have seen my stylist twice before but I've never done a full balayage with her. She did a very great job and was very thorough. She kept me updated on the entire process on what she was doing and is very educated. But when the receptionist told me how much the price was for my full balayage and haircut.

I wanted to faint. I was in such shock, I didn't even know what to do. It's the most I've ever spent on my hair for a full balayage, even triple the amount. It was over $950. And that's not including tip yet. Im not sure if this is because of inflation but as much as I'd love to come back here I physically can't afford it.

It keeps me up at night knowing how much I spent and I'm just so upset the pricing was that much. Maybe it's my fault for not asking but I thought it could not be more than at most $500, let alone double that. It's upsetting I spent that much but lesson learned the hard way unfortunately. Ask before hand for pricing and tell them a budget.

I had a very disappointing cut & color here after seeing the same stylist for about 6-8 mos. I called the salon immediately to let them know -- they wanted photos and the manager was very understanding & helpful trying to find a way to fix the problems. I will def continue with another stylist at this salon. However I was surprised that i didn't hear from the actual stylist who did the original cut & color but also understand that could be awkward for both of us. I also am surprised they didn't offer a discount on next appointment.

Micah and Elyse are a dynamic duo for a modern balayage and cut. Micah was so intentional during the consult in making sure he knew exactly what i wanted to end up with. He checked in often during the service to ensure i was doing well, and we just had a ton of fun throughout the whole time! I'm so excited to have found my new colorist in town! Elyse is #hairgoals so I totally know I'm in great hands for growing my locks long and healthy! I loved the combination of this team and the outcome! Thank you both so much! Only advice if scheduling online is to book the cut with Elyse and then the color service.

Robert Leonard was a wonderful experience! I am new in Seattle and Micah did everything to make me feel comfortable. He was super knowleadgable and that translates to his work, I felt I was in best of hands. I'll definitely be back. Recently had a scalp treatment (Micah) and haircut (Elise). The scalp treatment had me so relaxed and restored and finally getting a haircut was so refreshing. I really enjoyed my entire experience at this salon from start to finish. Highly recommend!

I got layers for the first time, asking for a cut that required zero styling and a shoulder length that would still allow me to put my hair into a ponytail. I also showed pictures of two people to illustrate what I meant. However, it ended up much shorter (especially after I pointed out at the end that one side was much shorter than the other and it had to be corrected).

That alone would not bother me at all, but the layers look bad - it's just one that is way too short resulting in the bottom hair to weirdly twirl out. I assume it's at least partly due to my hair structure (which appeared straighter before it was cut short), but that is something a good hair stylist should have better analyzed and anticipated. Until it's grown back enough to cut off the layers, I now end up having to curl (and slowly damage) my hair every day instead of being able to just air-dry it like I described I prefer to do.

Hands down the worst haircut I've ever received. Called the salon to get their recs for the hairdresser that is very experienced with Asian hair (a tricky hair type to cut), a person came highly recommended and I was reassured that she knows how to deal with thick Asian hair. I told her I wanted light layers and a tiny trim to get rid of some split ends.

Not satisfied with the outcome (super choppy haircut with aggressive layers) and customer service (they were just trying to fill the new girls schedule not looking out for what I needed). Super disappointed. They did offer to have her try to fix it, but she did such a poor job that I would never let her touch my hair.

I took the journey of finding a new hair dresser seriously to heart. I found Elyse and she's been a m a z i n g! The best hair cut I've ever received! She takes her time and is always patient with me as I usually run off of 4 hours of sleep. We've done some pretty artsy colors like purple, burgundy, and pink balayage! I just let her do her thing and I love her creativity.

I was also the winner of a holiday giveaway that Elyse and Micah hosted. I won the ultimate scalp treatment with Micah. He's quite knowledgeable about hair care and we found a good plan for how to keep my hair healthy as possible since I'm in the healthcare field which requires me washing my hair more frequently. I would highly recommend both Elyse or Micah on your self care team!

This place is so amazing Everyone from the staff is nice and kind with me. I did my hair with ELYSE and she gave me a perfect color and perfect haircut This place also provides a privacy room option if you need privacy to do your hair ( In my case I wear hijab and I need a privacy) and the place is so comfortable. Thank you for the great experience I had!

Fantastic blow out and practically next door to the Westin Seattle. The salon is light bright and clean. My stylist Pauline was just what I wanted. I will be back!

I've come to see Kendra twice and I will most definitely book an appointment with her again. My first appointment was for a balayage and my second was for all-over color. I went to Robert Leonard for the first time a couple weeks ago and was SO impressed. Warm welcomes and a coffee or water when you walk in, the salon is clean and beautifully decorated, and the service is excellent. It is a salon filled with kindness and professionalism, and I can't wait to go back in a few months! I have been seeing Ezra for about 4 years now.

He is newer to Robert Leonard, and I followed him from his previous salon. He is a Master Colorist, and I cannot speak highly enough about him. I am naturally a lighter brunette and wanted to go blonder a few years back. I told him to do whatever he thought would look good and that I fully trusted him. The result was better than I could have imagined.

He always explains fully what is going to be doing and why he thinks it will work for me. I LOVED being blonde but recently decided to stay closer to my natural color after covid. All I told him was that I wanted to keep my natural but be a little brighter. He gave me exactly that. Once again, I couldn't be happier with the result. He is also one of my most favorite people that I've come to know, and I love getting to catch up while I'm in his chair.

Plus I get to leave with hair that looks even better than I could have hoped for! If you need a colorist, go see Ezra. He will share his expertise and help you achieve your color goals!

Such a great experience! From setting the appointment to the stylist (Larisa O.) to how great my hair looks! They got me in right away with not a lot of notice. Confirmed my appointment and sent a text reminder. Larisa was absolutely fabulous. She was so personable, knowledgeable about hair and made the entire experience pleasant. She listened to my needs of trying to get my hair thick again and got me set up with the products to do so. Highly recommend! Cheers!

I've never colored my hair before so when I started looking into it, I found Elyse's Instagram and decided to give it a shot. I have a lot of hair so my appointment took 6 hours for a full balayage. You could tell that the stylists here take pride in their work! I wanted to try something new but didn't expect to love the results as much as I do! I'm usually hesitant to let stylists I don't know (who also aren't Asian) handle my thick Asian hair but Elyse was so wonderful and patient. Her Instagram gave me a lot of confidence that she knew what she was doing and had experience working with many different types of hair. Will definitely be back!

I have never written a review, let alone a hair salon review but had such a great time (after so many bad experiences with Seattle hair salons), I had to say something. I came to Elyse for a haircut - I have a wavy black hair that has had some breakage since quarantine started with all the hairbuns and ponytails I've put my hair through. I wanted to cut it pretty short and only have a couple photos.

I feel like Elyse was very detail oriented in the couple old pics I showed her (the length, layers, some side long swippy bangs, etc.) that I'd never be able to fully explain in words. She also kept asking me and giving me recommendations throughout the haircut so I was constantly comfortable with how the haircut going (never a "oh we went too far" moment).

She finished with styling and gave me tips on how to style and made me feel great with how it all looks. She was also super friendly and never made me feel like I need to buy additional service/serums/products (I hate when a hair salon does this and get very sales-y). Anyways, I've had terrible hair salon experiences where I don't really like the hair result, I feel belittled or pressured to buy additional products/services, etc. Lastly, the hair salon is nice without an air of snootiness (which I feel like is rare compared to all the top hair salons you see on Yelp for Seattle). Okay, very last, last thing - making an appointment was the easiest out of all the hair salon experiences I've had.

Last time I had a hair style change was years ago. Being mom keeps you busy and I can't never make time to go the salon. However, the 4 hours I just spent with Micah were soooo worth it! I got the best highlights ever! I'm in love with the color and amazed by the work I had done. I have dark hair so I didn't think I could go ash. beige. cold color but oh yes they made it happened.

My hair looks so natural, my highlights are perfectly blended with the roots and my natural color, it is bright ing up my skin tone I'm just obsessed! You gotta try it on if I could I would give 6 stars :

I followed Ezra to this salon from his last one, because I trust no one else with my color! I now live 3 hours from seattle but still make the drive to see him. He kept my blonde beautiful for 3+ years, and last time we did red that I'm so in love with. I've never been to a more caring and knowledgeable colorist in my life!

I came to see Micah and after telling him about the worst haircut of my life, Micah sent me home looking like a million dollars and then some! Not only is he the sweetest person, he know so much about hair health and how to maintain my own hair with all its quirks! I've lived n in Seattle for almost 2 years and I've seen 5 different stylists, the last one making me cry for weeks.but I am so glad I found Micah and the Robert Leonard salon, I won't have to keep searching anymore!

I've been seeing Ezra since 2018, and even followed him here from his old salon! And I'm glad I did! He's been on many hair adventures with me from when we met, having gone through nearly all the colors on the rainbow. Every time he'd mix up something new, it never disappoints. Now that I've strayed away from all the fashion colors, I decided to go blonde and since then he's been my absolute savior for when my naturally dark roots would set in.

Out of all the hair colors I've been, blonde is the longest on my calendar and he's simply the reason why. He never misses with his foils, making me fall in love with the results each time. At the end of each appointment, I always tell him he gets better each time, always outdoing himself! Ezra is professional, incredibly talented, super sweet and a hoot to talk to. Get on his books ASAP, and I'll have you see what I'm talking about :D

Micah did such an incredible job fixing my hair after I dyed it black with box dye! It looks incredible and he kept my hair feeling so good and strong! I highly recommend getting a balayage from him.

This salon is BEAUTIFUL. We are visiting from Chicago and very happy to have found this place simply by an internet search. It's CLEAN! PRISTINE! The salon is stylish, eclectic and extremely inviting. The staff is friendly, professional and not pompous. I would not hesitate to visit again if I was ever in town and highly recommended it.

THANK YOU to Elyse for morphing my hair into a summer's dream (partial balayage and cut)! My first time here and I was treated like a rockstar from the moment I stepped inside, from the offered coffee/tea to the scalp massage! I loved every minute and I already can't wait to see what Elyse can do next. Highly recommend!
